The Rhythmic Revolution of Yes Honey Studio: Jenny Hill's Dance Fitness Journey

Yes Honey Studio

In the spring of 2018, a new vision in the fitness world was taking shape. It was the brainchild of Jenny Hill, a confluence of her deep-rooted passion for fitness, dance and creativity.

Hill is not new to the St. Louis entrepreneurial scene, for several years, Hill created a fashion accessories line called Lonesome Traveler. But her love of fitness never left and the itch to create something new culminated in Yes Honey Studio.

Hill’s journey wasn't just about opening a studio; it was about creating a community. During a year of meticulous planning and networking within the dance and fitness communities of St. Louis, she sought out the most passionate dancers to be instructors. This team brought an electrifying mix of positivity, energy, and a welcoming space for St. Louis to move and groove.

A Unique Vibe

Yes Honey Studio distinguishes itself with its eclectic class offerings. YES MOVE classes for instance blend an hour of dance fitness with strength training, featuring a range of themes. Visitors can choose between YES MOVE, YES YOGA, YES CHOREO and more. This variety ensures that every visit to the studio is a unique and exhilarating experience.

However, every path to success is strewn with challenges. Opening in December 2020, at the peak of the pandemic, presented an array of obstacles. The pandemic's daunting nature pushed the studio to focus on the mental health benefits of fitness and dance, a crucial aspect often overlooked in traditional fitness paradigms.

Personal hills and valleys also loomed large. Jenny happily discovered she was pregnant with her third child just weeks before signing the studio's lease. Juggling the demands of a new business with a growing family required a robust support system and a dedicated staff to ensure the studio could operate smoothly in her occasional absence.

An Inclusive, Welcoming Community

Yes Honey Studio stands out in the fitness landscape of St. Louis. Its location in The Grove pulses with the city's heartbeat, offering a space where dance, training, and movement coalesce. The studio's philosophy is simple yet profound: provide a space where everyone can move, have fun, sweat, and cast aside worries.

Looking ahead, Jenny sees a shift in the fitness community. She predicts a move away from big-box gyms towards boutique studios that excel in their specific crafts. Yes Honey Studio is poised to be at the forefront of this shift, offering a unique, community-focused approach to fitness.

In terms of accessibility, Yes Honey Studio is inclusive, with pricing options to suit various needs, including discounts for healthcare workers, students, and military personnel. The studio's presence extends beyond its physical location, with a vibrant online community on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.

As Yes Honey Studio continues to thrive in its third year, it embodies more than just a fitness studio. It's a testament to Jenny Hill's resilience, a beacon of community and wellness, and a rhythmic revolution in the heart of St. Louis.
